Study abroad in Taiwan to experience globalization! IMBA hold information session to invite elites from all over the world

“Study abroad in my home ground!”
International Master of Business Administration (IMBA) program held information session in National Chengchi University’s Yuan-Da Lecture Hall, on the 6th floor of the College of Commerce on November 4. Professor Shari Shang, associate of Director of the IMBA program, introduced the features of the program. IMBA also invited many alumnus and current students to share their experiences in both school and career. The information session attracted many people to join.

Professor Shari Shang mentioned that IMBA has dual accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS), and all the classes are taught in English. The professors are from Taiwan, overseas and industry; students are half Taiwanese and half international. The rich cultural composition and diversified background made IMBA an international environment.

To broaden horizon of the students, IMBA worked hard on expanding international learning opportunities. Students can pick their ideal country to do exchange learning from over 120 sister universities. They also have chances to get dual degree of two excellent universities by spending one year studying in Taiwan, one year studying abroad. The most distinguished feature of IMBA program design is to focus on academic perspective, practical perspective, and international communication.

Trixie Tan(陳白雪) from Philippines shared that during the period that she did exchange in Paris, she not only benefit from the qualified teachers and solid academic knowledge but also had the chances to share her opinions with local Parisian students. Moreover, she was able to build her own network in various social events which helped her a lot in the future.

Selina Hsin(忻維冰), president of the IMBA alumni association, said that except for the curriculum, IMBA also help many activities such as wine tasting and career planning. The alumni all over the world made a strong connection and network to offer supports whenever students needed. Most important of all, the flexible timetable of the courses enabled students to keep their current jobs and study at the same time. “It is perfect that you don’t have to pay a lot and you can enjoy the international learning environment!” she complimented.
There is Q&A session after the sharing of the alumni. Many participants asked about course design, application qualification, dual degree and scholarship. It’s obvious that many of them had strong ambitions. Shari Shang shared that IMBA aims to cultivate young future managers. Besides from the basic application form, the applicants must have outstanding English ability. She is also looking forward to recruiting student who has passion and curiosity and is willing to discover in a diversified and international learning environment.

Mick Lu(呂旻璁) mentioned that studying MBA is always part of his life plan. Therefore he attended many information sessions of top ranked universities in United State. Among all, he thought that NCCU IMBA gave a clearest introduction of program itself, and also invited alumni to share personal experience. “Compared to all the other universities, IMBA is the most attractive one!”
