【Exciting News】Fu Weijun, a sophomore from the School of Innovation and International Studies, and his team “ubiquitouS” have broken new ground by winning the Best Proposal Award in the second ACT ESG Impact FarEasTone Telecommunications Group!
Their proposal, “One Meal, Two Birds,” promotes a culture of cherishing food and sustainable consumption. It responds to the call from FarEasTone Telecommunications’ General Manager Jing Qi, who in an interview on the topic of “5G Telemedicine 2.0,” suggested that the public should adopt the habit of choosing their data plans based on usage to save power at base stations. Fu Weijun and his team transformed this concept into a movement for cherishing food, launching a food waste platform that encourages the public to buy only as much food as they can consume and join the fight against food waste.
Not only does this platform effectively match food supply with demand, reducing kitchen waste and carbon emissions directly, it will also integrate FarEasTone’s “Big Shot” technology to help businesses manage food waste, simultaneously establishing a concept of sustainable consumption and promoting the culture of cherishing food.
