In ICI, we expect our students to explore their interests and expand their potentials by supporting them to take on double majors or minors. The application time for double majors and minors is around May each year. For application details and other criteria, please refer to the Office of Academic Affairs’ website. Be sure to register on-line before the designated time frame and bring the copy of your application form along with other required documents of current year.
Declaring Double Major
Application Standards for Declaring Double Major at ICI:
- Quorum: no maximum limits
- Ranking Criteria: applicant’s academic ranking previous semester must be top 50% within the affiliated department.
- Selection Criteria: on merits of applicant’s average academic scores each semester and academic rankings within the affiliated department.
Application Materials Required:
Applicants are subject to submit the following documents to the Office of International College of Innovation.
- Application Form for declaring double Major
- Official academic transcript
- Statement of Academic Rankings
- Proof of English Proficiency (one of the followings)
- TOEIC 850+
- IELTS 6.5+
- TOEFL iBT 90+
- GEPT High–Intermediate Level
- Application Motivation and Study Plan (Max. 600 words in English; no standard format). Please answer the following questions:
(1) How will you define a successful college experience? What about double majoring in ICI, NCCU most excites you?
(2) Describe your personal and/or career goals after graduating from NCCU and how your double major in ICI will help you achieve them.
Notes:
- For the application standards set by each department for double majors :
● If rankings from the previous semester are used as the standard, and the transcript does not include academic rankings from that semester due to participation in an overseas exchange program or because the student enrolled in fewer credits than the prescribed minimum required for ranking eligibility, the committee will review the applicant’s most recent academic ranking.
● If rankings from all semesters prior to application are used as the standard, the overall ranking achieved since enrollment will be used as the evaluation criterion. - According to school calendar, application time will be from 1th May 2024 (Wed.) to 7th May 2024 (Tue.). Please be notified that accessing to the On-line Application Portal and Form Print-out Function will be closed afterwards.

Declaring Minor
Application Standards for Declaring Minor at ICI:
- Quorum: no maximum limits
- Open to all undergraduate students (delay graduation students excluded) who meet the following standards in the basic courses.
- Selection Criteria: on merits of applicant’s average academic scores each semester and academic rankings within the affiliated department.
Basic courses information:
