ICI “Overseas Exchange and International Competition Participation Scholarship” – Applications Now Open
The International College of Innovation (ICI) is pleased to announce that applications for the Overseas Exchange and International Competition Participation Scholarship are now open. ICI undergraduate students who participated in an overseas exchange program or international competition abroad during the 2024 Fall or 2025 Spring Semester (Academic Year 113) are welcome to apply.
- Objective
This scholarship aims to encourage ICI undergraduate students to engage in overseas learning experiences—such as exchange programs or international competitions—to broaden their global perspective, enhance international mobility, and strengthen future competitiveness.
- Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
(a) Be currently enrolled ICI undergraduate students officially registered for the semester during which the overseas activity took place (students on leave are not eligible).
(b) ICI undergraduate students who have participated in:

- An outbound exchange program (through ICI or other NCCU departments), or
- An international competition abroad during the 2024–2025 academic year.
- Scholarship Amount and Quota
(a) The number of recipients and the amount awarded may be adjusted based on the number of applicants and the annual budget.
(b) The maximum scholarship amount is as follows:

- Asia-Pacific Region: NT$20,000
- Europe and the Americas: NT$40,000
- Priority Criteria
(a) Priority will be given to students participating in the ICI college-level overseas exchange program. Additional points will be awarded to applicants who have taken the BEST Test of English Proficiency (BESTEP).
(b) Priority ranking according to participated activities is as follows

- Participation in exchange programs at ICI’s partner institutions.
- Participation in international competitions abroad.
- Participation in exchange programs through other NCCU departments or offices.
- Required Documents

(a) Completed Application and Eligibility Confirmation Form
(b) A 1,000-word reflection or learning report in English
(c) Transcript from the host institution (for exchange students)
(d) Proof of competition participation and results (for competition participants)
(e) Full transcript of NCCU academic records
(f) NCCU ranking certificate
(g) BESTEP score report (for bonus points) or other English proficiency test results (if available)
(h) E-Ticket (with Booking Number/Reservation No.)
(i) Copies of both departure and return boarding passes (original boarding passes must be submitted to the ICI Office within one week of the new semester)
- Application Regulations
(a) Each student is eligible to receive this scholarship only once per degree level. Priority is given to those joining ICI college-level exchange program. Students who have already received government or NCCU funding for similar purposes are not eligible for duplicate scholarships.
(b) Scholarships will be disbursed only after all required documents are submitted and reviewed.
(c) Recipients must consent to the public sharing of their reflection or learning reports and agree to participate in future ICI sharing sessions or events related to international exchange.
