On August 26, the International College of Innovation (ICI) held an inspiring orientation event, bringing new energy and vitality to ICI! Although Dean Wen-Ling Tu couldn’t attend in person due to an international conference, she delivered her message through a video. She encouraged freshmen to step out of their comfort zones and take full advantage of ICIโs diverse and global learning environment. She emphasized that students should not only study hard, but also embrace new experiences, broaden their horizons through interdisciplinary courses, and develop innovative and global perspectives through cross-cultural exchange. ๐
During the event, ICIโs full-time faculty members introduced the three major academic tracksโGlobal Governance, Sustainability & Society, and Data Analytics, to help freshmen better understand their future learning paths. The orientation concluded with mentor-group lunch, creating opportunities for closer connections between teachers and students. ๐ด๐ฃ๏ธ
This year, ICI proudly welcomes 32 international freshmen from 19 countries, along with 34 Taiwanese students. Through this orientation, we hope our new students will quickly adapt to university life, build friendships across cultures, expand their horizons, achieve great milestones, and create unique and unforgettable stories together with peers from around the world! ๐ค ๐โจ
