Purposes of this In-Person International Symposium
1. Promote international collaboration in global health development, governance, and security, including information sharing in emerging communicable diseases to prevent another pandemic and strengthening health systems to be resilient and equitable to prepare for future challenges.
2. Promote international collaboration in research and policy evaluation in new health challenges, including the implications and applications of artificial intelligence, big data, and information technologies in health, global health, and biomedical research.
3. Improve and strengthen Taiwan’s capacities and partnerships with Pacific Rim nations in
global health engagement.
Format and Contents of this Symposium
1. Keynote Speech
2. Invited Speaker Presentations:This symposium will invite around 10 international scholars from the Pacific Rim,and around 10 scholars from Taiwan’s academic institutions, government agencies, and NGOs with expertise in global health governance and collaboration as speakers and/or panelists.
3. Interactive Panel Discussions:This symposium will include multiple opportunities for participants to engage in discussions with speakers, panelists, and other participants in several panel discussion sessions.
