The EMI AI Innovative Application Microprogram is established by the International College of Innovation to provide a fully English-taught learning environment. The program aims to enhance students’ international competitiveness and cultivate interdisciplinary talents with practical skills in artificial intelligence (AI) and industrial applications.

Program Aims & Missions
Program Structure
- Students are required to complete the following credits.

- 3 credits of Foundational Courses
- 6 credits of Advanced Courses
- 3 credits of Applied Courses
(A total of 12 credits is required.)
- Upon completing the required courses and credits with passing grades, students may apply for a Certificate of Completion before the end of their final semester.
- Courses may count toward graduation credits (except repeated courses, which require approval from the student’s department).
- For graduate students taking undergraduate courses, the grades will not be included in GPA calculations.
Program Features
- Course content is based on current AI technology platforms and real-world applications.
- Courses are taught by faculty with professional AI backgrounds.
- The program promotes collaboration between academia, industry, and research institutes.
- It strengthens students’ ability to apply AI in various fields and supports the development of the AI ecosystem.

AMD Grant Opportunity
International students who enroll in the Applied Courses of this program will be eligible to apply for the AMD Grant.
Application details will be announced between September and October 2025.
Program Regulations
- Eligibility: Open to all undergraduate and graduate students of NCCU.
- Application: Students who have completed all required courses and credits for the Microprogram with passing grades must apply for the Certificate of Completion from the Microprogram before the end date of their final semester.
- Fees:
- Undergraduate students: No additional credit fees.
- Graduate students and extended undergraduate students: Credit fees and other charges apply based on the current academic year’s tuition standards.
