As the United Nations marks its 80th anniversary, the international community confronts an increasingly fragmented global landscape. From rising geopolitical tensions to widening humanitarian crises, the UN faces fundamental questions about its role, legitimacy, and effectiveness. What are the key challenges in maintaining international peace and security, advancing human rights, and strengthening global governance? How should the UN system reform to adapt to new patterns of conflict and cooperation?

This event brings together scholars and practitioners to reflect on the UN’s evolution and future trajectory, offering insights into institutional challenges and prospects for reform.
