Visiting Scholars are individuals whose primary purpose for residence at NCCU campus is to conduct research and/or lectures. The Visiting Scholar Program at ICI is a fee-charged program.
The typical duration of a Visiting Scholar’s stay at ICI is up to 180 days. Extensions may be possible upon further discussion with the college. Visiting Scholar positions are uncompensated, and participants are responsible for managing their own visa applications and related processes.

Visiting Scholar application procedure:
- Applicant sends the Visiting Scholars Program Application Form to the ICI office.
- Upon approval, the applicant will receive an email notification, followed by a formal invitation letter.
